Canobie Event Co. is an event production and rentals business based in southern New Hampshire. They are the premier tent rental and installation company in the area. CEC also provides set-up and rental services for various other event furniture and decor needs.

The challenge in creating a logo for Canobie Event Co. was providing the client with a modern artistic approach for an industry featuring dated styles. Although this did create a clear path towards a minimalistic style that would stand out amongst the crowd. It also presented a challenge that the company would not be immediately recognized as a tent rental provider. Where "tents" is not in the name, this meant it was necessary to incorporate imagery into the logo to represent the main stream of business for company. Remaining balanced and modern looking became the challenge.

The final logo utilizes a minimal sans-serif font to spell out Canobie Event Co. and tagline underneath. The company name appears in the condensed version of the font to evoke the height and stature of their leading product rental, tents. The tagline is written in a wider structure of the font family, creating a sense of groundedness and a base for which the business is built on. The inclusion of two tent tops over the company name serves as the primary recognition point and emblem for the business. They are minimal yet undeniably representative of the businesses main line of rental equipment. The contrasting blue and red are an ode to Americana and the types of summer events they operate during their busiest season, but the color pallet is modern and mature, a far cry from the dated bright red one could expect from the competition in this field.
